NZXT Gaming PCs are Introducing Intel Core Ultra Processors

Starting on October 24th of 2024, NZXT gaming PCs (see our NZXT Player: Three review) will feature the new Intel Core Ultra processors. Initially, these will be rolled out in custom-configured NZXT PCs, while the prebuilt Player models will have fully integrated the latest Intel CPUs by Q1 2025.

In a press release about NZXT’s latest N9 and N7 motherboards, Roger Chandler, Intel vice president and general manager, Enthusiast PC and Workstation Solutions​, Client Computing Group, has the following to say about the new processors:

NZXT will offer three options, each with their own benefits.

Intel Core Ultra 5 processor


The Core Ultra 5 is aimed at gamers who just want to focus on playing games. It is meant as an ideal price/performance option for dedicated gamers who want to play the latest games without any issues, but who don’t want to do any heavier tasks such as video editing, streaming, and the likes.

Intel Core 5 Ultra specs

  • Up to 5.2 GHz max clock speed
  • Up to 14 cores (up to 6 performance cores; up to 8 efficient cores)

Intel Core Ultra 7 Desktop Processor


Aimed at gamers who also want their PC to handle heavier tasks, the Intel Core Ultra 7 can smoothly handle video editing + recording, streaming, and so on. It is a good choice for gamers who also use their PC as their primary workstation.

  • Up to 5.5 GHz max clock speed
  • Up to 20 cores (up to 8 performance cores; up to 12 efficient cores)

Intel Core Ultra 9 Desktop Processor


Being the top tier, the Core Ultra 9 is meant for gamers and creators who need their PC to be a multitasking machine. It’s a great choice for gamers who are always running multiple heavier applications, and/or for users who also delve into intensive tasks such as rendering.

  • Up to 5.5 GHz max clock speed
  • Up to 24 cores (up to 8 performance cores; up to 16 efficient cores)
