Keen readers may have already noticed it, but we’ve completely revamped our /gear section! In addition to our already existing stats page and review page, we now also have detailed gear specs lists. To accommodate this new list, we’ve redesigned the gear section and now have a brand new navigational page for easy access to all of this interesting information.
In this short article, we’ll go over the different elements of our gear section and tell you a bit about what you can expect from those.
Gear Spec Lists
This is a brand new feature that we’re extremely proud of! We have detailed specs lists for the most popular gear categories:
These lists house every piece of gear that has ever appeared on ProSettings.net, be it on a player page or in a review. We list how popular the product is, we link to reviews, and we also give you the specs of the products. These lists get updated automatically once a new product enters our system.
For products that we have tested and reviewed, we also added interesting info in addition to the regular specs. For mousepads, we list their glide characteristics, and for mice we list the exact button tensioning.
These lists are very new, and new specs and features can be added in the future. For now, though, we’re extremely proud to have such an extensive and up-to-date gear database hosted on our website!
Reviews
Our in-depth reviews have been a part of ProSettings for many years now, and they now have a more intuitive design. You can now filter between different gear categories in case you only want to check out (for example) mouse reviews. The reviews themselves got a facelift about a year ago as well.
The review section now matches the rest of the website’s design a lot better, and should be a lot more user-friendly. We also have a dedicated article on our review philosophy in case you’re interested in that.
Stats
Want a quick overview of what’s currently hot in the pro scene? Our stats page lists the top 5 most used products in every popular gear category!
As time goes on, we’ll add more functionality to this page (filters, graphs, …) so keep an eye on the stats section!

This is just the beginning of our renewed gear section. We’re always looking to add more functionality to the website and we aim to please, so if you have any suggestions or recommendations, please feel free to let us know in the comments!
