SteelSeries Aerox 9 Wireless
The Aerox line is SteelSeries’ line of lightweight gaming mice, and this Aerox 9 is the MMO version. It’s a lightweight (for an MMO mouse) device that weighs only 89g. This is partially because of the diamond-shaped cutouts that reduce its overall weight. Despite this low weight, it still gives you a side pad design with a complete set of 18 buttons—all of which can be reprogrammed within their customization software.

Corsair Darkstar Wireless
The Corsair Darkstar is one of the more recent MMO mice to grace the scene. It’s a right-handed gaming mouse with a 6 button cluster on the left side that can be reprogrammed. These are placed in a semi-circular way around a thumb rest with a textured grip, making it a great comfort spot. Logitech G600
Logitech is known for their fantastic shooter mice, but they also produce some other types of peripherals. The Logitech G600 is a wired MMO gaming mouse in the style of Logitech. What Makes a Good MMO Mouse?
MMO mice set themselves apart in a number of ways. The sensor is arguably less important in an MMO mouse than it is in a shooter mouse because pixel-perfect precision often isn’t needed in MMOs, but there are other things you should look out for.
MMO games are complicated, requiring a ton of inputs in very short succession. For this, you need a mouse with lots of (side)buttons. Traditional gaming mice have two buttons on the side, whereas MMO mice have anywhere from 6 to 12 buttons.
The traditional grid of buttons on the side of the mouse is the most common way of identifying an MMO mouse.
Side Pad Design
You can slap 50 buttons on the side of a mouse, but if they can’t easily be identified in the heat of battle, all these extra buttons are useless.
