Fans of the game will know that this isn’t the first Marvel season Fortnite has had. If you haven’t tried the new season, here is everything new in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4.

New POIs
The running theme for the new season is Doctor Doom taking over the entire island and establishing a monarchy, with the end goal of growing more powerful by harnessing the island’s power. Suffice it to say that the live event of this season is going to be nothing short of spectacular.
Doctor Doom has taken control of various POIs from the Island and turned them into his bases.
Castle Doom
Castle Doom is basically Doctor Doom HQ. It’s filled with relics, guards, and tokens of victories from other multiverses. It’s also where you will find Doombot, the guardian Doctor Doom left in his place to watch over the island. Upon defeating Doombot, you get your hands on some cool mythics and a medallion. Castle Doom is one of the biggest POIs we have seen in Fortnite: it’s hands down massive and filled with loot.
Doomstadt
You can’t have the Doom castle without a Doomstadt. For those unfamiliar: Doomstadt is the city of origin of Doctor Doom. The POIs look like it’s taken directly from the comics, with just a little Fortnite applied. It’s also the place you will find Mysterio, who drops a medallion.
The entire village is filled with chests, ammo boxes, and ground loot spawns, making it a solid choice for your main drop spot in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4.
The Raft
You can’t have a monarchy without some resistance. To fight against the resistance, Doctor Doom needed some like-minded allies. This is why the Raft exists; to harbor some of the most dangerous beings from across the multiverse. It’s filled with Doctor Doom’s henchmen and is governed by Emma Frost, who upon defeating drops the new mythic rifle and her medallion.
You can also find Doctor Doom’s henchmen all across the map, and by talking to them you can recruit them to your side and become allies.
New Weapons and Items
You can’t have a new Fortnite season without some cool new weapons, and this season is no exception. After all, to fight against a powerful enemy such as Doctor Doom you need a pretty heavy arsenal, and thankfully we have just that.
Apart from the sick Marvel superhero-themed weapons, we also have some classic weapon additions to the armory. Here are all the new weapons in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4.
Dual Micro SMGs
A new SMG every season has become a staple for Epic Games, and we are all for it. The Dual Micro SMGs are some of the most fun SMGs we have seen in the game. First and foremost because they shred. The Dual Micro SMGs have a super fast fire rate and can break down builds very quickly. Another nifty thing added with the SMGs this season is that when you have the new Gwenpool skin on, the Dual Micro SMGs change color to match the entire outfit.
All in all, an exciting addition to the SMG lineup in Fortnite.
War Machine Weapons
While the Dual Micro SMGs are strong in their own right, the War Machine weapons take it to a whole different level. Especially when you have all of them equipped. The old Marvel season had Iron Man weapons, but this time Epic Games decided to add Iron Man’s ally War Machine to the game, and you can try out some of his weapons.
War Machine Auto Turret: A shoulder turret that automatically targets and fires on nearby enemies. It has a cooldown period where it recharges before getting ready to fire again.
War Machine Hover Jets: Basically a better version of the Jetpack we are all familiar with. Allows you to fly and rain down hell upon your enemies with your weapons.
War Machine Arsenal: The only Myhtic weapon out of the bunch. It releases a hailstorm of bullets and rockets upon enemies.
Monarch Pistol
The go-to weapon of the Doombot. It’s a slow firing, high damage pistol, similar to the Hand Cannon. The only difference is that it fires faster while hip-firing.
Sovereign Shotgun
Another season, another shotgun. This time it’s the Sovereign Shotgun. It’s a mix between the classic Tactical and Pump Shotguns, giving you the fast fire rate of the tac up close and the high damage of the pump while ADSing. It is one of the most controversial weapons this season as many players don’t like it, but hopefully that will soon change with a buff.
Striker Burst Rifle
Another weapon making its way back to the Fortnite armory is the Burst Rifle. It’s a three-shot burst rifle that deals a lot of damage. You can put some good attachments on it and take it for a spin on the island.
Captain America’s Shield
There had to be at least one weapon from the Avengers, and thankfully it’s Cap’s shield. The Captain America Shield was also part of the old Marvel Fortnite Season and it’s back with some updates. You can use it to dash through enemies and builds or fling it around for some long-range fighting. Overall, an iconic weapon with a lot of potential.
Avenger and Doom Crates
Crates aren’t technically weapons but it’s important to mention them. The new season offers two creates that can be found all around the map; Avenger Crates and Doom Crates. Both of these are guaranteed to drop at least one of the new weapons, so if you are struggling to find the new weapons, try looking for the crates. All the new POIs will have these crates.
Mythics and Medallions
Mythic Weapons have become a classic at this point. Mythics are faster, stronger, and overall better versions of the weapons that are available in a season. You can get them by defeating the Boss NPCs at POIs.
Along with the Mythic Weapons, you also get Medallions. These are tokens dropped by the Boss NPCs. They grant you buffs upon equipping them, but also come with a caveat. These medallions can expose your location to enemies. This season, there are some exciting medallions and Mythics in the game.
Doombot’s Weapons and Medallion
If you are looking to get stacked loot then consider visiting the Doom castle, as it’s filled with chests and crates. But, more importantly, it’s where you will find Doombot, who -upon defeating him- drops the Siphon Medallion and two Mythic weapons. The medallion offers you a siphon, meaning you get healed after killing an enemy. Siphon can be really handy as that little bit of extra health after a fight can protect you from the upcoming third party, especially in ranked (check: Fortnite Ranks Explained).
The Doom Gauntlets and Monarch pistol are also going to be handy. Both mythic weapons are dropped by Doombot. The Doom Gauntlets allow you to wreak havoc on your enemies. You can either shoot them down with an energy blast with your primary fire or charge up for a mega shot with the alternate fire.
The Mythic Monarch pistol is a slow firing, high damage pistol that deals up to 160 damage with a headshot. If slow is not your style, you can try firing the weapon for a faster fire rate but less accuracy.
Mysterio’s Sovereign Shotgun and Medallion
If the weapons Doombot offers are not for your playstyle, you might like the Mythic Sovereign shotgun Mysterio drops at Doomstadt. It’s a combination of the Tactical and Pump shotgun. Hip firing it acts as a Tactical shotgun: firing fast but dealing less damage. You can also ADS to get a more accurate and higher damage shot on your enemy, much like a pump.
Moving on to the medallion; Mysterio is the master of illusions and his medallion is reminiscent of his power. It’s called the Medallion of Stealth and makes you invisible while crouching. Now you can sneak up on enemies and they will never know you are coming.
Emma Frost Striker Burst Rifle and Medallion
The last mythic weapon and medallion of this season is dropped by Emma Frost at The Raft. It’s the Mythic Striker Burst Rifle and the Reveal Medallion. The Striker Burst Rifle is a three-shot burst rifle. Don’t let the burst part fool you, as it does a lot of damage if you manage to land all three shots.
A burst rifle is not everyone’s taste but the Reveal Medallions is definitely one fighting for. It reveals enemies around you, giving you wall-hacks.
Unvaulted and Carried-Over Weapons
Sure, the new weapons are good, but we still need variety in the loot pool. Choices for more shotguns, SMGs, and ARs never hurt anyone. Thankfully, there are still weapons from previous seasons that have not been removed. These are:
- Striker Burst Rifle
- Striker Assault Rifle
- Combat Assault Rifle
- Ranger Pistol
- Hammer Pump Shotgun
- Gatekeeper Shotgun
- Hyper SMG
- Shockwave Grenade
Chapter 5 Season 4 Battle pass
Finally, let’s talk about the cosmetics. This is a Marvel-themed season, so the battle pass is filled with iconic characters from the Marvel Universe and some Fortnite characters with Marvel’s twist on it. As with all battle passes, the new Battle Pass is available to purchase for 950 V-bucks and includes the following skins:
- Gwenpool
- War Machine
- Peelverine
- Emma Frost
- Captain Jones
- Mysterio
- Shuri
The Doom Outfit will be available later in September and will be unlocked by side quests.
Conclusion
The new season is nothing short of impressive. Be it the new weapons, iconic skins, or the massive POIs. Chapter 5 has continued to provide us with great content and it’s lovely to see how the game stays fresh this way.
Adding Marvel to Fortnite is never a bad decision, as there is a massive Marvel fanbase out there that loves Fortnite. Plus, the casting of Robert Downey Jr as Doctor Doom and Doctor Doom being the main villain of this season is a cherry on top.
this season is crazy but its laggy
