Best Chair for Fortnite

The most used chairs by Fortnite players

The most popular chairs are calculated based on 301 professional Fortnite players.

Introduction

Gaming (or really any other activity that leaves you sitting at your desk for hours at a time) can be awfully demanding on your body. In addition to making sure you’re regularly getting up and getting exercise, it’s extremely important that you get a good chair that fits your body type and posture if you want to avoid long-term damage. In this article, we’ll look at what products the pros are using in order to help you find your own personal best chair for Fortnite.

Our Guide

The Pro Usage Top 5 gets updated continuously and instantly so that you can always get an accurate overview of what the pros are using at any given time. In the body of the article itself, we go over the five most popular pro products in no particular order. When relevant, we also give you some extra options in the form of products that fall just outside of the top 5 or are otherwise worth looking at.

What makes a gaming chair good for Fortnite?

Fortnite does not require any special seating arrangements or anything like that. As such, you can view any chair that’s good for office use as a good chair for Fortnite. You don’t specifically need a gaming-style chair. It’s an option, sure, but racing-style chairs don’t offer specific gaming benefits that quality office chairs cannot offer. However, they’re also not inherently worse. Both are perfectly valid options. You can read more about the topic in our in-depth article on gaming chairs vs office chairs if you’re interested.

With office chairs, there’s basically only one rule: as long as you get something that works for your body (or allows you to adjust it to the point where it does) and encourages good posture, you’re good to go.

Obviously, a good gaming chair is a serious investment, and there’s no way around it—these things aren’t cheap. But if you’re spending hours at your desk every day, it’s one of those areas where cutting corners just isn’t worth it. More money doesn’t always mean better quality, but the reality is that well-designed, durable furniture costs a lot to design and produce.

Your back will absolutely thank you for swapping out that dining chair for something that adequately supports your back and lasts for a long time.

Secretlab Titan Evo 2022

Today’s Standard

The Secretlab Titan Evo 2022 is currently the most popular gaming chair on our website, and for good reason. It’s an extremely high-quality chair that’s built to last and is available in a ton of different varieties so that everyone can get one that matches their aesthetic.

To start with, it’s adjustable in every way that matters. You can adjust the armrests, backrest, seat height, and lumbar support. This lumbar support is built-in, so there’s no need to fuss with pillows and stretchy bands that are meant to hold them up. This ‘no stretchy bands’ idea also extends to the neck cushion, which attaches via magnets.

Another noteworthy feature of the chair is its dense and rather firm foam. That’s not a bad thing (foam that’s too soft makes it difficult to maintain a healthy posture) but it’s good to know if you’re considering this chair.

Secretlab chairs have been around for a long time now, and they’re known for their high quality and good durability. As an added bonus, the chairs are also packaged extremely well and are easy to assemble.

If your budget is in the $500-600 range, this is a very obvious contender. It’s the industry standard for a reason.

The firmer cushion and padding definitely won’t suit everyone, but if you’re someone who prefers a firmer support area over a cloudy feeling for your bottom then this Secretlab Titan Evo 2022 is one of the better gaming chairs out there at this point in time.

Logitech G x Herman Miller Embody

Embrace Modernity

Logitech isn’t known for making gaming chairs, but they obviously know a thing or two about gaming gear and the world of pro gaming. That’s why the European brand teamed up with Herman Miller, one of the planet’s most well-respected office furniture makers, for this special edition Embody chair.

For context: the Herman Miller Embody is an iconic desk chair. Released in 2008, it’s perhaps too new to really call it a classic, but it’s certainly getting there.

The standout feature of the Embody is the backrest. This has a pixelated support system that flexes and moves. This backrest’s lumbar curve is adjustable, meaning that users can get a very form-fitting chair that even moves along with them.

Additionally, the Embody uses quality materials that are very breathable to boot. If you find traditional gaming chairs too bulky and hot, this is an ideal alternative

As with any product, there are some limitations though. There’s the price, for starters. You can expect to pay well over $1,000 for this chair. Sure, it’s backed by a 12 year warranty, but that price will no doubt be a big hurdle for a lot of users.

Additionally, the Embody also isn’t a great chair for lounging. It’s made to seat its user in an optimal way, and lying back in a fully reclined manner simply isn’t a part of that. So if your ideal chair for Fortnite is one that allows you to lay back after a hard day of gaming, this won’t be it for you.

With that said, the Embody is a top-tier gaming chair. If you’ve got the money and you want to get one of the best chairs in the business, this should be near the top of your list.

The way it gently nudges you to sit correctly can be annoying and uncomfortable at first if you’re someone like me who has the ‘lounging around’ pose perfected, and you’ll need to be patient when dialing it in because there’s a lot of adjustments that you can make, but once you’re past that initial period this is a fantastic chair. From the Sync fabric that’s just the right amount of breathable and flexible to the backrest that moves around with you and hugs your spine: this chair will make sure that you’re sitting comfortably and correctly at all times.

Herman Miller Embody

The Non-Gaming Alternative

On ProSettings.net, the regular Herman Miller Embody is the less popular version, with the Logitech collab being the most popular one. Both chairs are incredibly similar, but there are some differences.

The regular Embody is available in more finishes and colors, for starters. Additionally, it also has a flat backrest whereas the Logitech version has a textured (ribbed) one.

Bigger differences become noticeable when sitting down. The regular Embody has a slightly firmer seat. On the other hand, the Logitech version has a stiffer backrest.

There’s also a small price difference, with the regular Embody usually being available for a lower price.

Aside from price, choosing between the regular and Logitech versions comes down to personal preference. Both are incredible gaming chairs though, and will serve you very well if you’re looking for a high tier chair.

Herman Miller Aeron

A True Classic

The Herman Miller Aeron is one of the most well-known ergonomic chairs on the market, originally designed in 1994 by Don Chadwick and Bill Stumpf. Unlike most gaming chairs (including the brand’s own Embody, which is more modern and futuristic) the Aeron follows a traditional office chair design.

With its incredibly light and flexible upholstery, the Aeron prioritizes breathability. Air flows freely through the backrest and seating section, which can really help you keep cool during lengthy Fortnite sessions.

The chair can be bought in a number of configurations. The base model has a contoured back but no real lumbar support section, but there’s also a version with adjustable lumbar support and a version with the brand’s Posturefit SL support. This targets both the sacral and the lumbar spine, which is different from regular lumbar support which targets only the lower back.

The chair also offers adjustable armrests, seat height, and tilt functions, allowing for a more customized fit.

Unlike many gaming chairs with thick padding, the Aeron relies on pellicle mesh to evenly distribute weight and reduce pressure points, giving you a much softer seating sensation than what you get from many other chairs.

If you want a premium gaming chair that offers a more traditional seating experience, the Aeron is a great option. As with all Herman Miller chairs, you should expect to pay a hefty price for it though.

Razer Iskur V2 X

An Interesting Budget Option

The Razer Iskur V2 X is a budget-oriented chair made by Razer. It’s the more affordable version of its more full-featured sibling, the Iskur V2.

With the Iskur V2 X, you’re getting a solidly built gaming chair in that familiar racing-style design that comes with a fixed lumbar support. It also has adjustable arm rests and an adjustable backrest, so most of the adjustment points that you’d want to see on a chair are present.

Of course, having a fixed lumbar support means that the chair really needs to suit you. If it doesn’t, you’re out of luck. In addition to this, the arm rests can only be adjusted in height and angle. For comparison, the higher-end model (the Iskur V2) has 4D armrests.

To us, the most attractive aspect of the chair is the price. With an MSRP of $299, it’s a lot more affordable than some of the usual suspects in the scene. If you want a quality racing-style chair without breaking the bank, the Razer Iskur V2 X is a solid choice. You just have to live with the fact that it won’t have all the bells and whistles that the more expensive chairs have.

Razer Iskur V2

Team Green’s Top Offering

The Razer Iskur V2 is the brand’s current flagship gaming chair. It comes with all of the adjustment options you’d expect out of a high end gaming chair. It’s also made with quality materials.

The standout feature of the Iskur V2 is the lumbar support. You can adjust this to achieve a comfortable and healthy fit, but it also adapts on its own. This means that the support section moves with you, making it so that you’ve got lower back support even as you’re leaning to the side or sitting at an angle. This, in combination with the adjustability of it, works really well to give users a comfortable and reliable lumbar section at all times.

Aside from the lumbar support, the Iskur V2 is also quite simply a really good gaming chair. It’s a little on the expensive side for a racing-style chair, but it is finished to a high standard, is easy to assemble, and looks and feels the part.

If you shift positions often and want a racing-style chair that adapts to that, the Razer Iskur V2 is well worth considering

Conclusion

In the world of gaming chairs, there are a ton of options, ranging from budget chairs with limited adjustment options to full-featured chairs that move with your spine. When looking for a chair for Fortnite, it’s important to consider how the chair will work for you. Choosing a chair just because your favorite pro uses it makes no sense if it doesn’t suit your body.
