Oh, thankyou for the correction. Why did he switch to Bilinear though? He said anisotropic gives you better textures without losing performance.
I don’t really know, he did not give any information about the changes. But I assume he was losing some FPS after all and on native resolution you have enough clarity on every textures, so it’s no need for 16X
Just a setting. It help when you are 4:3 but on 16:9 it all look the same.
let’s keep it simple. In cs2 better texture filtering makes textures looks better in a distance (i think u have already noticed that from some distance textures use way lower resolution versions of itself). But! player models renders always in the same resolution (or kinda, tbh haven’t tested it proper). So at some distance player models become to clearly stand out (so it’s kinda another competetive advantage like shadows before) and bilinear make it happens in lower distance possible.
