Skinrave.gg Review

Introduction

Skinrave is a relatively new CS2 gambling website with quite some presence already. The site has sponsored major teams such as Fnatic and has an active community. If you’re considering playing some games on Skinrave.gg, you came to the right place. We’ve evaluated the website, the user experience, and the overall games on offer, and we’ll give you our full report in our full Skinrave.gg review.

Important: Play Responsibly

Skinrave.gg is a CS2 gambling website. It functions just like regular online casino/gambling websites. This means that you are not guaranteed a profit. Losses are part of the deal, and there is no way to reliably ‘game the system’.

As such, you should never play with money that you cannot afford to lose. Treat all money that you put into websites such as these as part of an ‘entry fee’ and treat any wins as a bonus. Additionally, remember that the house always wins in the long run. Websites like these are for-profit businesses that would not be operating if they could not reliably turn a profit.

If you or someone that you know has a problem with gambling, please visit gambleaware.org or your local alternative. Always follow your country’s laws regarding gambling, and never play if you’re underage.

Skinrave.gg is quite a new website in its genre, but we find it to be a reliable website that works without issues.

Games on Skinrave.gg

Battles

In Case Battles, players select a case (or a larger number of cases) and then select a format. Other players then join, and the cases get unboxed one by one. The winner gets either all of the unboxings, or a part of it, depending on the selected rules.

On Skinrave.gg, you can go for a 2v2, 3v3, or 2v2v2 format if you’re playing in teams. If you’re going Free For All (FFA) you can do 1v1, 3-way, 4-way, or 6-way. There’s also a group unboxing mode for either 2, 3, 4, or 6 players.

In the ‘base mode’, the player (or team) with the highest unboxed value wins the whole pot, but Skinrave.gg also offers a bunch of game modifiers like Crazy (where the winner is the player or team with the lowest unboxed value) and others. You can hover over the game modes to get more info.

We particularly like the group unboxing mode, as there’s no competition element there. If someone unboxes a huge item, its value gets spread over the other unboxers. No winners, only losers.

Double (Roulette)

Double is a CS2 gambling website name for roulette. This is a very simple and old casino game. Players bet a certain amount, after which a wheel is spun.

On this wheel are red (T), black (CT), and green tiles. The green one is the rarest, and betting on that hitting pays out the most. Betting on either red or black pays out the least, since those odds are the best.

In Skinrave’s Double, there are also certain tiles with a hook icon instead of a T or CT icon. These can be either red or black, but they’re rarer than the regular icons. Players can bet on those icons hitting as well and then get a medium payout between the green tile and a regular tile.

Cases

Like pretty much every CS2/CSGO gambling website, Skinrave.gg offers regular case openings. These range from super expensive cases with guaranteed top-tier prizes to extremely cheap cases with mostly bottom-tier skins and a low chance to win something more expensive.

Case odds are always clearly displayed before you open a case without having to open a second menu, which is something that we like. Additionally, Skinrave.gg also displays the case volatility. This is a way of indicating how ‘risky’ a case is. A case with a high volatility will have a very low chance of breaking even or winning money, but if you do win, you win really big. A low-volatility case will have a far greater chance of you breaking even (or not losing as much money) but the top prizes will be worth less compared to a higher-volatility case.

There’s a good amount of cases to choose from, and there’s something for everyone.

21 (Blackjack)

Skinrave.gg is one of the few CS2 gambling websites to offer blackjack. This is a bonus to us, as Blackjack is a much more interactive game than traditional casino games such as roulette.

The basic premise is that you draw cards and you aim to get as close to getting 21 as possible without busting (going over 21 means you auto-lose). Jacks, Queens, and Kings are worth 10, while an Ace is worth either 1 or 11. The other cards are worth their numerical value.

The catch here is that you’re playing against the dealer. After you’re done drawing (called ‘standing’) the dealer also draws. If the dealer gets higher or the same as you, you lose.

It’s a fun game with some strategy involved, but be aware that the house still has an edge here, like in all casino games.

Mines

Mines is a game based on the famous minesweeper game. Here, you are presented with a grid (you can choose the size) and you then have to add mines to it. The more mines you put in the grid, the higher your potential payout. Mines are randomly scattered across the grid once you start the game.

Once the game starts, you start clicking tiles on the grid. If you get a diamond, you can keep going. However, if you get a bomb, you lose. You can cash out at any time, so you don’t have to find all the diamonds. However, the more tiles you’ve successfully clicked, the higher your potential payout becomes (because the risk of clicking a bomb also goes up).

Mines is a fun game of holding your nerves and balancing risk-vs-reward.

Keno

Keno is basically a lottery game. There’s a grid of 40 numbers. You get to select a bunch of numbers (there’s a max of 10), and you pay for each number you want to select. The game will then randomly start drawing 10 numbers. The more random numbers match your selected numbers, the higher your payout will be.

You can adjust the risk by raising the risk modifier. The highest risk level requires you to hit more numbers before you’re paid out, but it does offer much bigger payouts. The lowest risk number doesn’t require a high number of hits for a payout, but the potential winnings are much smaller.

Roll (Dice)

In Roll, you have to select a number between 5.00 and 99.99. After that, you need to guess whether the dice will be higher or lower than that number. The ‘dice’ then get rolled and result in a number between 5.00 and 99.99, and if your guess was correct, you get a payout.

Obviously, the size of your payout depends on the risk factor. Guessing that the dice will roll lower than 98.00 will not give you a big payout at all, for example. Doing the reverse (guessing a roll higher than 98.00) will yield massive wins when it hits.

You can also modify the parameters; you can guess a roll between certain numbers, or even choose two number ranges.

Limbo

Limbo is a very simple game. Simply select a bet amount and then select a multiplier. Once that’s done, the game will randomly start counting up the multiplier and stop at a certain point. If the multiplier stops below the number you’ve selected, you lose your bet. If it ends up over the multiplier you’ve selected when you placed your bet, you win. So basically, it’s a game of ‘over or under’.

The higher the multiplier you choose when betting, the higher your potential winnings are, since the multiplier is more likely to stop at the lower values.

Plinko

Plinko is a popular game in certain Asian countries. In Plinko, a ball gets dropped into a cone of pegs. The ball makes its way down that cone of pegs and lands at the bottom.

Due to the laws of physics, the middle sections are most likely to be the destinations of the ball. The edges of the playing field are far less likely to be hit.

Players need to guess where the ball will end up. Obviously, the outer edges pay out more than the middle sections. You can modify the risk level as well. At the lowest risk level in the smallest cone, even the very middle section pays out half of your bet, but the outer section ‘only’ pays out 7x. At high risk, that same outer section pays out 33x, but the middle sections pay out way less.

Coinflip

This is probably the most straightforward game on the website. Two players bet the same amount, and then a coin gets flipped. The player who ends up on the right side of the coin wins the bet.

Wheel

In wheel, players can bet as much as they want (up to a certain maximum) and get assigned spots on a virtual wheel. The more you bet, the more room you take up on the wheel, so someone who bets 1 token will have a smaller spot than someone who bets 50 tokens.

Once the timer is up, the wheel starts spinning. The player where the wheel ends up wins everything. Here, it’s a matter of balancing what you put in versus your win potential. If everyone else bets 50 tokens and you only bet 1, you have a super small chance of winning, but if you do win, you’ll win really big.

Crash

In Crash, players bet a certain amount, and then a ‘chart’ starts going up. Players can cash out whenever they want. The higher this chart goes, the higher your potential profit, but the higher the chances of the chart crashing. And once the chart crashes, you’ve lost your bet.

As such, Crash is a game of holding your nerves. You can cash out pretty much instantly in order to secure a (very) small win, or you can keep holding until the multiplier goes way higher.

Features

In addition to the quite extensive selection of games to play, Skinrave.gg also offers a host of extra features that are meant to keep players coming back and improve the user experience.

In this section, we’ll highlight some of the standout features that Skinrave.gg offers.

Player Levels

Skinrave offers player levels. The more you play, the higher your level becomes.

The higher your level becomes, the more free features and bonuses you get access to. In addition, your free daily case also hosts better rewards, as it adjusts dynamically based on your earned XP over the past 30 days.

Player levels are basically a way for websites like these to keep players on their platform, and we find them to be a good way to reward returning players.

What’s nice here is that it’s not very difficult to get to the player levels where you start getting free cases. Some websites require you to spend quite a significant sum before you get access to these parts of the website, but that’s not the case here.

XP Calculator

A particularly lovely and user-friendly feature on Skinrave.gg is the XP Calculator. The vast majority of websites show your XP level and the required XP to get to the next level (as does Skinrave) but beyond that you’re basically guessing what you need to do to go up a level.

With Skinrave’s XP Calculator, you can precisely plan how much you need to wager in specific games. So, in essence, you can plan your entire leveling path in detail.

This is a very transparent feature and is something that other websites should also implement if you ask us.

Rakeback

Rakeback is another feature to entice long-time players to stay on the platform. It basically means that a certain percentage of bets that you place will be refunded, even if you end up losing.

Obviously, you’re not going to get back any significant amounts, but if you’re a frequent player, it’s absolutely a nice bonus to have.

Reward Tickets

Players can claim reward tickets up to three times per day for free. The amount of tickets you receive depends on your level.

You can then use these tickets to play on ‘reward wheels’. These function the same way as the Wheel game we’ve explained earlier in the review, only there are minute, hourly, and daily wheels. Winners get paid out in usable site balance, so the reward tickets are a cool way for players who frequently play to potentially win on-site balance for free.

Rain

The Rain begins every twenty to sixty minutes. Users can donate to the pool, and users can join by solving a captcha. Everyone who enters the Rain receives a minimum of 0.01 on-site tokens, but players who tick certain boxes (such as having a certain Discord tag active or being a certain level) can earn more.

Just like with the other on-site rewards, the Rain feature by itself won’t make you rich, but it’s another cool feature to reward active players.

Free Cases

Skinrave.gg offers two forms of free cases. There’s the daily case, for starters. The contents of this case scale with your earned XP over 30 days. So active players who wager a lot will get better rewards from their daily case.

Then, there are also level cases, which you can open every 24 hours. These are limited, as you receive keys to open these cases every time you level up. So if you level to a certain level and then stop playing games altogether, you may run out of level case keys.

Instant Deposit

With Valve’s recent trading measures that allow people to reverse any trade made within the last seven days, it can be difficult to deposit skins on some websites. After all, most people won’t want to wait 8 days before a trade is verified, and websites won’t just trust any random player to not reverse their trade.

On Skinrave.gg, you can use an instant deposit feature. This means that loyal players will be able to deposit a skin and instantly receive a part of that skin’s value to play with. The higher your level is, the higher the portion that you instantly get becomes.

No matter your level, you always get the remaining value after the 8-day protection period.

It’s an elegant solution that lets trusted players deposit skins and start playing instantly.

Skinrave.gg Free To Play Viability

Skinrave.gg is a really good website for free to play players. A bunch of free features are locked until you reach a certain level (which is the case on most CS2 gambling websites) but even if you’ve never deposited a dime, you can grind your way up slowly to the higher levels with a bit of luck.

If you’re someone who wants to gamble with some free in-game drops, Skinrave becomes an even more attractive option. This means that your level will go up quite quickly, giving you access to more free goods, after which it’s quite easy to keep the ball rolling.

Additionally, every user can also create a referral code. If you share that with your friends, you get a % of the tokens that they end up betting. You should never convince people who don’t have an interest in gambling to start playing, but if you have friends who want to try out the website, this is a good way of getting some extra capital.

Overall Website Experience

Layout and Performance

The overall layout and performance of Skinrave.gg is excellent. The website is extremely easy to navigate, and there are no hidden menus or menus-within-menus hiding certain sections of the website. Everything you need can be found in the top navigation bar.

In terms of the overall performance, the website worked perfectly. There are no crazy animations or jaw-dropping visuals anywhere, as it’s a pretty to-the-point website, but we choose performance and transparency over visuals every single time with websites like these.

Convenience

Skinrave offers easy-to-understand explanations on pretty much all of their features. Clicking the ‘?’ icon gets you a to-the-point guide on how to play the game or how a certain feature works.

In addition to this, Skinrave also only has one main currency. The reward tickets (mentioned above) are the only form of special currency, but it’s immediately clear where and how you can use this currency, so it’s not a deliberately confusing mechanic.

As such, it’s extremely easy to get your bearings on Skinrave.gg. You don’t need to figure out three different currencies and work out what they can be used for; the only thing you need to worry about is your main token balance. This can be used to play with, to withdraw skins with, and to do pretty much anything on the website.

As with other skin gambling websites, it should be noted that you don’t directly win the skins that it says on the boxes. If you ‘unbox’ an AWP Dragon Lore, you won’t have a Dragon Lore sitting in your inventory; you’ll have won the equivalent of an AWP Dragon Lore in on-site currency, which you can then use to buy an AWP Dragon Lore in the store with (if it’s available).

Withdrawing

Withdrawing skins is quite easy, once you find something that can actually be withdrawn. We had a couple of instances where we tried to withdraw a certain skin, only to be met with a ‘this skin is not available anymore’ type of message.

Usually, that’s not a big deal, but if you are looking for a hyper-specific or rare type of skin, this can be a bit of a pain in the back.

In any case, once you’ve started the withdrawal process, it goes smoothly. We withdrew a couple of skins and haven’t had a trade reversal, but do note that Skinrave uses services like Skinsback and Skindeck for skin withdrawals, like many other websites do. As such, you’re not directly withdrawing from Skinrave itself.

Withdrawals can also be done in the form of crypto.

Community

Skinrave.gg has an active chat window at all times. There, you can see how many people are online at any given time and chat with other users. This community is very active at all hours of the day.

What’s interesting is that there are multiple chatrooms for different languages. There’s the English room, but also a Russian, Latvian, German, and Spanish room. It’s a cool touch for people who are more comfortable in languages other than English.

Support

Skinrave has very fast support. When we contacted support via the on-site chat window, we got a reply within minutes. Follow-up replies were also quick and helpful.

Conclusion

As far as we can tell from our testing, Skinrave.gg is a legitimate CS2 gambling website. It is a website that is active in various parts of the CS2 community and has sponsored high-tier organizations. Furthermore, it has an active community and is active on social media as well. Support is fast and the website is very transparent, so we really liked our experience on the site.

Skinrave.gg offers a very large amount of games and modifiers, and players at all token levels can play these games. As such, you don’t need a huge budget to play for long periods of time.

Additionally, it’s also a website that is free-to-play friendly due to a variety of free goods and cases that you get just for playing. Do note that most of these free rewards are based on your player level/experience, so it can be a good idea to at least invest a little bit (perhaps some free drops from playing CS2) if you want to play on Skinrave.gg.

As an overall website, Skinrave.gg is one of our favorite CS2 gambling platforms right now due to its nice mix of games, rewards, and its clean layout.
