Rarest Fortnite Skins

Since its release, Fortnite has evolved tremendously in terms of cosmetics. We have been through almost four chapters now, filled with battle passes and item store skins. Fortnite has a vast collection of skins of every kind. There are skins from movies, animes, other games, and other collaborations.

All of these skins are usually available to purchase from the item store. Even if you miss it on release you will find it the next rotation. But, there are some skins that we haven’t seen for a long time since their release, making them some of the rarest Fortnite skins. In this article, we will be looking at such skins and reliving the past nostalgia of Fortnite.

5. Demogorgon

The Demogorgon skin resulted from the Fortnite X Stranger Things collaboration in Chapter 1 Season 9.  Just before the release of season 3 of Stranger Things, Fortnite introduced the Demogorgon and Chief Hopper skins.

The skin was loved and adored by the fanbase because of the unique design and implementation of the monster from Stranger Things and it quickly became a prized possession among the playerbase.

It was introduced as a rare-rarity skin for 1200 V-bucks. Sadly, we haven’t seen the Demogorgon skin back in the store since its release. Although it might not be as rare as the other skins on this list the Demogorgon skin is definitely a rare Stranger Things X Fortnite masterpiece.

4. Black Widow

Marvel and Fortnite have had a lot of collaborations in terms of skins and gameplay. Marvel has become a big part of Fortnite, with even map locations being named after iconic characters. We also had a whole season in Chapter 2 based around Marvel.

Black Widow was a result of such a collaboration. It featured our favorite female Avenger, recreated in Fortnite’s iconic art style. It was released in 2019 for 1500 V-Bucks and we haven’t seen it in the item store since. This makes it like a rare Marvel/Fortnite collectible.

3. Reaper

The Reaper is a legendary level 100 Battepass skin released in Chapter 1 Season 3.  The OG players will remember this skin as it was one of the first skins inspired by a film character. While it was not official, the Reaper skin closely resembles our favorite suited hitman John Wick. This also made it one of the most desired skins among old and new players. Fortnite officially released a John Wick skin later on, but the Reaper holds a special place in the hearts of most OG players.

While we have seen the John Wick skin appear in the Item Shop from time to time, the Reaper was only available in the Season 2 battle pass.

2. Renegade Raider

The Renegade Raider is the first skin that comes to mind when you think about the rarest skins in Fortnite. It is one of the rarest skins in the game, and owning it is a big flex among Fortnite players. The hype was so unreal, that accounts having the Renegade Raiders often get sold for a lot of money.

It was only released in Chapter 1 Season 1 and the players who bought it then are the only ones that own it. Fortnite did make a lot of remixes of the skin but never re-released the skin.

1. Aerial Assault Trooper

While, Renegade Raider is considered to be one of the rarest skins in Fortnite, in actuality it is not. Most players consider the Renegade Raider to be more rare since it’s more desired, but in terms of rarity, Aerial Assault Trooper takes the win.

It was released in Chapter 1 Season 1, along with the Renegade Raider. Most players preferred the Renegade Raider over this skin. Because of this, most players bought Renegade Raider instead of the Aerial Assault Trooper, making it a rare cosmetic.
