As far as gaming mice go the Glorious Model O is definitely coming in hot. The hype levels for this release have been reaching peak levels in enthusiast communities for a while now and we understand why.
The Model O (which is the first release in Glorious’ O.D.I.N. lineup) has just about everything that gaming audiences have been getting excited about: it’s a super lightweight mouse (thanks to the Honeycomb Shell) with an extremely flexible cable, Omron switches, a flawless 3360 sensor, a safe ambidextrous shape, and RGB lighting. On paper this could be the ideal mouse for a lot of gamers, but we all know that theory isn’t the same as practice. That’s why our reviewer has been putting this particular model to the test.
Is Glorious’ first attempt at making a mouse a smash hit or is this more like the Glorious Model Oh no? Read on to find out.

First Impressions
Disclaimer: I received multiple models to test, as Glorious offer this mouse with a glossy or matte coating. There is no difference between the matte and glossy versions though, except for the fact that the glossy mice weigh one or two grams more.
The main feature of this mouse (at least at first sight) is obviously the shell. Or rather; the lack of shell. Glorious are calling this this design their Honeycomb Shell, and while this might seem like a silly gimmick to some it does do wonders to reduce the weight of the mouse. It obviously gives the Model O a very specific look, but it’s worth mentioning that you don’t really feel the holes when you grab the mouse. More on this later, but I know that people will be wondering about whether or not the holes interfere with grip or performance so I thought I’d get this out of the way first.
The Model O is finished with two RGB strips as well as an RGB ring on the scroll wheel. On the left side of the mouse you’ll find the Glorious mascot and on the right side there’s a subtle ‘GLORIOUS’ towards the front. All of this combined definitely makes for a mouse that’ll turn heads but I don’t think that it looks gaudy or ostentatious, and you can’t really expect a mouse with holes in the shell to look subtle, can you?
As some of you may know I don’t really give a hoot about the looks of my gaming gear, but I do have to say that the RGB (especially on the white models) on the Glorious Model O is something to behold.
The Glorious Model O is a medium sized ambidextrous mouse which focuses (among other things) on being extremely lightweight, and Glorious have really impressed me on this front. The matte version of this mouse weighs a mere 65 grams (the glossy version got to 67 grams on my scale) which makes it one of the lightest gaming mice on the planet right now.
Aside from the cutting edge shell design (the only other company to produce a mouse with this type of design is FinalMouse, and those mice are hard to come by to say the least) the Model O is your basic FPS gaming mouse when it comes to functions. There’s a DPI button on top and two side buttons on the left side of the mouse, as well as a DPI indicator on the bottom.
Packaging
When you pop open the packaging you’ll immediately be greeted with the mouse. Underneath said mouse you’ll find the usual stuff: a quickstart guide, a little flyer advertising Glorious’ other products and a printed ‘thank you’ note from the CEO. There are also two stickers included which honestly look quite nice if you care about these kinds of things.
What I appreciate here is that the packaging isn’t bulky or flimsy. The box isn’t that much bigger than the actual mouse and it’s all packaged in a logical way. This might be inconsequential to most people but I’m often gaming away from my own home, so I personally do appreciate it when companies don’t build a cardboard and plastic palace around their products which takes up a lot of space in a travel bag.
Shape, Coating, and Mouse Feet
The Glorious Model O has rather safe shape. It’s an ambidextrous design with a gradual slope towards the back of the mouse. When you go from the front to the back you’ll find that base of the Model O gets thinner in the middle and then gradually gets wider the further back you go. The shape is extremely similar to the Zowie FK series, so if you want to compare it to an existing mouse that’s where you should look.
All in all there’s really nothing extreme or outrageous about this shape, and I like it. There’s plenty of room to place your fingers without the mouse forcing you to hold it a certain way, so I believe this shape will work for a lot of people, except for those who want a fully filled palm, but more on grip later.
As mentioned earlier, the Model O comes in two different coatings: glossy and matte. Regular readers will know that I’m not a fan of glossy coatings, but I obviously tested both and to me there’s nothing wrong with either. One of my main problems with glossy mice is that they start to feel ‘oily’ after a couple of hours of gaming if you’ve got sweaty hands, but that’s less of a problem with the Model O since there’s simply less skin-surface contact. That doesn’t mean that there’s less grip, by the way.
Both coatings performed absolutely fine (the glossy coating is the grippiest if you’re asking me, but I had no problems with either and I tend to use the matte one more) and as I mentioned before you don’t really feel the holes when you’re playing. They’re nicely implemented and there are no sharp or rough edges to any of the cutouts, so once you’ve grabbed hold of the mouse you kind of forget that these holes are even there. That’s nice, since it means Glorious were able to cut down the weight of their product quite significantly without having to sacrifice comfort or grip.
On the side of the mouse you’ll find, as usual, two side buttons. These are pretty thin and small, but there’s a little gap between them to help you feel the difference in hectic situations, and their placement is pretty much spot on (at least for my grip style and 18.5×10.2 cm hand size) so they do exactly what they need to do.
On the bottom of the mouse you’ll see four G-Skates mouse feet. The people at Glorious specifically emphasize these in their marketing and I have to say that the glide of the Model O is really nice. The glide itself isn’t leagues better than what some other companies are offering, but these feet do feel extremely smooth and ‘worn in’ straight out of the box, meaning that there’s very little friction when you’re starting a swipe or when you’re doing micro adjustments. This results in an extremely smooth and consistent gliding experience.
Recommended Grip Types
As I said before I believe that the Model O has a rather safe shape, so it should be fine to use for a large amount of gamers. I can imagine that some palm grippers would like there to be a bit more of a palm-filling feeling in the form of a more sudden slope but everyone else should be able to find a way to comfortably grip this mouse with little to no issues.
It’s not the smallest mouse in the world though so I’d steer clear if you’ve got smaller hands. For reference: mine are 18.5×10.2 cm and for me the size is nearly spot on.
Buttons and Scroll Wheel
Glorious have gone for the well-liked Omron switches with the Model O, and the clicks are exactly what you’d expect out of a premium gaming mouse. They are consistent and snappy, and there’s no outrageous amount of travel or mushiness either. They’re also pretty much perfect when it comes to the force required to use them if you’re asking me.
What I did notice is that there’s a bit of horizontal travel on the buttons, and on one particular test model I could sort of feel the button rub over/against (part of) the switch if I was holding it down and applying a bit of pressure horizontally. This isn’t exactly an issue that will negatively affect performance (I only really noticed it ingame when I was playing sniper since I hold right click to scope) and since this is more noticeable on one certain test model than it is on others I’d guess that this is a QC issue that needs some tightening up rather than a design flaw.
Aside from that the clicks are fantastic though. They’re snappy and responsive and you get a nice and crispy clicking sensation whenever you actuate a button.
The scroll wheel could use a bit more definition if it were up to me, but it’s quiet and easy to use and it registers each individual step without any issues at all, so I don’t really have any complaints here. Pressing the wheel is also quite easy and the whole implementation feels sturdy and reliable (which is something that can’t be said for some other gaming mice out there) so even though it’s not the most amazing wheel that I’ve ever used I can’t really see anyone having any issues with this particular scroll wheel.
The side buttons are just fine as well. There’s very little travel and the buttons provide a pleasant and tactile click when actuated. I actually use the side buttons quite a lot when gaming and I like it when companies devote some attention to making these feel like an actual part of the experience rather than some kind of afterthought, so props to Glorious for these.
Sensor and Everyday Performance
Inside the Model O you’ve got the industry standard 3360 sensor. The sensor and its implementation are flawless, meaning that every move you make will be translated to the game with pixel perfect precision. Gone are the days where you have to be worrying about mouse jittering, acceleration, or smoothing. Flawless sensors are the standard these days, so companies need to set themselves apart in different ways, and Model O obviously sets itself apart from other mice.
It is plug-and-play, so you can plug it in and get to gaming without having to install drivers or software, but if you want to you can download Glorious’ optional software. There you can adjust the lighting, LOD, polling rate, and so on. It’s a nice piece of software in my opinion. It’s not overly complicated or bloated; it just does what it has to do without you needing to read an entire manual as if you’re launching a satellite or something like that.
I’ll also address the million dollar question here: do the holes improve performance? Well, yes and no. The holes make the mouse extremely light, and for some people (myself included) this means that the mouse will be easier/more comfortable to aim with, but buying this mouse won’t make you a better aimer by default. No mouse will do that.
I will say that a mouse this light is an experience in and of itself. If you come from an average weight mouse this will definitely ‘wow’ you for the first couple of hours (which is also thanks to the fantastic cable) until you get used to it, and it might even make you a better player if lightweight mice are your jam, but I’m not gonna say ‘get Model O = be better gamer‘ since that would be an outrageous claim.
That said; I do love this design, and I personally like my mice to be as light/minimally intrusive as possible so I can only say that the holes are anything but a gimmick.
Glorious Model O Review – Conclusion
Over the past year, Glorious have been asking gamers about their ideal gaming mouse on various internet forums, and with the Model O they’ve released their first attempt at making the perfect gaming mouse after taking on that feedback.
This mouse has everything that mouse enthusiasts have been getting excited about in recent times; it’s got a super lightweight shell (with holes in it), an extremely flexible cable, responsive buttons, great stock mouse feet that offer a smooth and consistent glide, and it even has RGB elements. In a sense it’s a ‘greatest hits’ compilation of all recent exciting innovations in the mouse industry, and that’s amazing.
This will be the perfect gaming mouse for a lot of gamers out there and it’s hard (if not impossible) for me to find anything that’s objectively bad about this product. While there are some teething problems here when it comes to quality control I didn’t find those issues to be limiting my performance, and since this mouse is the first commonly available mouse to combine all of these individual aspects (namely the lightweight design, fantastic cable, and great stock feet) in one product I think it’s absolutely deserving of the Staff’s Choice award.
If you’re going for one (which I can definitely recommend) then do check it for manufacturing issues before committing to fully using it, but as a whole this is one of the greatest gaming mice that’s ever been released. I can’t wait to see what Glorious has in store for us in the future.
This product was received for free from the manufacturer and given to our reviewer to test and review. Brands and manufacturers have no editorial control over our reviews. For more information, check out our review FAQ.
I’ve read that the sensor has prediction on it (which is terrible for competitive FPS) – have you guys done any testing to see if the mouse does have prediction?
To my knowledge the Model O wired hasn’t had any widespread issues with the sensor (speaking about the 3360 here). There were some issues with angle snapping on the Model O Wireless but by the time I reviewed that mouse that issue seems to have been fixed with a firmware update (or I didn’t see anything on my copy). I personally didn’t find any prediction on either the wireless or the wired version.
How is glorious o different from fk2? Which is better? What do you recommend? Now i use ec2.
The shape isn’t very different at all but the other features are pretty much night and day. Holes vs. no holes, lightweight vs. regular weight (the new FK-C line is lighter than the current line though), … It really depends on what you prefer to be honest. Zowie mice are known for their rock solid build quality and reliable plug and play designs, for example, while the Glorious mice are more innovating (definitely when they were released) but with that comes some QC issues and a few durability concerns. If you’re after a lightweight version I would obviously recommend the Model O but if you can wait a bit for the release of the FK-C line you might want to take a look at those as a sort of ‘best of both worlds’ version. I will be reviewing those too but I haven’t received them yet so I can’t say a lot about the FK-C versions.
Got the glorious o minus myself and the side buttons are so close together that its nearly impossible to not press both, I have my wall and ramp on them so building is a pain because I keep pressing ramp when trying to do walls, also the scroll wheel is WAYYYY too sensitive. I set mine to edit/reset just like bugha and half the times it will reset instead of edit. Seriously annoying, I havent tried any other pro mice but I wouldnt recommend this to anyone.
I haven’t tried the Model O- for any extended time myself so I can’t really corroborate what you are saying but thank you for your feedback! It’s always useful for others who are considering a product to read as many different points of view as possible. That said: if your mousewheel is seriously malfunctioning (in the sense that it registers the wrong inputs) I would contact Glorious about that since that’s not supposed to happen obviously.
i like g305.
so is it good for me with Model O- ?
The shape is actually pretty different. The G305 is a bit more egg shaped while the Model O(-) is flatter. As far as size goes they might match pretty nicely but I wouldn’t say they feel the same in the hand at all. Of course it’s possible that you like them both but I’m just saying that they’re not super similar.
wtfffffff i also currently use a g305 and i plan on getting a model o
I am a person whose hands get sweaty a lot when playing on pc, could this affect the mouse over time? (I mean this by the design with holes)
I personally get rather sweaty hands when gaming as well, but I can’t say I’ve ever had any issues with these mice with holes in them. Of course I don’t test them for years but most of these honeycomb design mice have some sort of coating to protect the internals from (small liquids) so unless you have a severe form of hyperhidrosis you should be more than fine.
Whats best mousepad for Glorious model o- ?
It depends on what you’re looking for. Mousepads have wildly different characteristics so what works for me might not work for you. You can always take a look at our review section though; all the pads in there should work perfectly fine for the Model O-!
19x9cm I use fingertip/palm hybrid would you recommend model o- or model 0?
Probably the Model O. Of course these are just recommendations but going by what you’re saying your grip style is and your hand size I would try out the regular Model O first.
hi, I’m assuming about buying this mouse but since I’m using g203 and g305 I’m having problems with griping it. I feel like i can’t hold the mouse proper way. My pinky finger is mostly touching my mousepad aswell my back of hand does. is this mouse good for me to use? hand size is 17lenght to 10
If you want pretty much your entire hand to be on your mouse I would recommend a slightly more substantial mouse. Whether your pinky touches the pad or not is mostly down to your grip style, however. Not a lot of mice have an extra part to place your pinky on so I can’t really comment on that. That said: for your hand size (and provided you like a larger mouse) the Model O can be fine, though I’d also look at the O-.
I use the g403 now, and I use a gtip that’s between a palm and claw grip. Do you recommend me the model o, o-, d or d-?
It depends. If you like a filled palm I would recommend the Model D. It basically depends how much of your hybrid grip is ‘palm’: if you use a lot of plan the Model D is (theoretically; remember that everyone is different) a better shout.
Bought that Mouse now 6 Month ago and its stil “alive”
Dont trust people that say theirs broke.
The Mouse feels good, is lightweight as fuck, Buttons are micro and with the Software u can set ur DPI u need.
I love it!
Yeah it’s a really good mouse! It’s worth noting that people who have a defective product are way more likely to post online than people who have a working product, which is why it’s way more common to see complaints about pretty much any given product online. Thanks for your comment though, glad to hear you’ve found a great mouse!
I know the shape of this mouse is wildly different from that of the Model D, but I’m trying to decide on which Glorious mouse to purchase. I’m coming from a G502 and my hands are around 18 x 9 cm.
If you’re coming from the G502 and you liked that sort of shape the Model D is an easy recommendation. If you want to try something with a bit more of a neutral shape and a flatter profile the Model O could be good.
I use the GPro wireless right now. Do you think it will be better to switch to this. I dont really like the side buttons on the GPro do you think they are better.
It depends on what you think it wrong with the side buttons of the G Pro Wireless but the side buttons on the Model O are fine to me as far as feel and placement goes. It is a much flatter mouse than the G Pro Wireless though, so be wary of that.
18 cm x 8 cm would you say O – or O?
Depends on your grip. I think you’re just at the edge where either one could be fine, so if you like smaller mice you should go for the O- but the regular O could also be fine for you. Bear in mind that this is just a guess from my part; everyone’s different when it comes to preferences and so on so don’t take the word of any reviewer or person online as sure, since it all depends on what you personally like.
I current have a cheap mouse rosewell m59 and I have a kinda fingertip claw style grip my hands are like 18.5/19cm x 8.5/9cm. I bought a deathadder v2 and didn’t like the feel of it at all. I don’t know whether to get the mm711 or glorious O, which one would you suggest.
I don’t have any hands on experience with the MM711 so I can only speak about the Glorious Model O, but that is a really good mouse in my opinion. I’d maybe consider getting the Model O- (the smaller version of the Model O) if you’re a fingertip gripper though.
This mouse is good but it will break on you and become unusable within 1-3 months.
I actually gave two of my review copies to friends when I finished my review and theirs are still working and being used every day for productivity and gaming. Of course hardware failure can always happen and it’s unfortunate that your product(s) have stopped working, but I can’t say that I’ve had the same happen in my immediate environment.
Maybe the first revision of this mouse but since then they have ironed out all of the quality control issues.
Is17 cm enogh for model o- or model o
It depends on your grip, but generally I’d go for the O- with that hand size.
I have 17.76cm hands and the o- is too small for me. I use the model O wireless.
My hands are 15 by 9cm. Would you recommend this mouse?
I’d go for the Model O- or something even smaller if that 15cm isn’t a typo.
Pros that use it?
Pros change their gear often, but HarryHook and Gale Adelade are two that come to mind for me right now. You can always check out our pro lists though, they’re updated daily.
Have it 1200 DPI change ? I mean classic settings for DPI
If you’re referring to whether or not it has a setting for 1200 DPI out of the box then no, it doesn’t have that. The default plug and play settings are 400, 800, 1600, and 3200. You can definitely set it to 1200 in the software though.
how is this mouse compared to the air58 ?
I haven’t yet tested the Air58 so I can’t really say for sure, but the Air58 is lighter than the Model O. Aside from that they do offer pretty much the same features; very flexible cord, mouse built to be as light as possible (so without any bells and whistles), … The Air58 is not available any longer though, so I would always advise people to opt for the Model O.
how is this mouse compared to the razer deathadder??
Pretty different, to tell you the truth. There’s more that separates both mice than vice versa, but both are longer feeling mice and offer flawless competitive performance, so it pretty much depends on what you’re looking for.
I have bloody v8m mouse, are the width, height and length same? if they are will it be better for me to play any game with it?
I have no experience with that mouse (in fact I don’t even know it) but from the looks of it it is an entirely different shape. Without wanting to guess too much I’d say that the sensor in that V8M is subpar so you would be better off with a mouse such as the Model O.
My hands are 18 x 9, do you recommend this one or model O-?
Depends on your grip style to be honest. If you’re a fingertip gripper or a claw gripper who likes smaller mice I’d swing for the O-. Preference also plays a big role in this so don’t take my word (or any reviewer’s word; only you know what you like) as gospel though.
I have been using the Logitech g203 for a year now and I wanted to change to the model O but I can’t decide between the model O and the model O-. Can you help me decide which one to pick? My hands are 20cm by 10cm and I use claw grip. Ty.
For your hand size I’d maybe go for the Model O regular, though seeing as you’re coming from the G203 you might prefer smaller mice in which case the Model O- would be the best bet.
can i get this of amazon and apparently there is something wrong with the cable disconnecting every 5 seconds
Yes it’s on Amazon, though I’m obviously not sure if it’s on your local one. Some people have reported issues with the cable (due to the way it’s packaged there’s a kink in it) but I had four test mice that all have seen use, and two of those are now used every week by friends when we’re gaming and they haven’t reported issues so the cable issue definitely isn’t on every mouse.
As a glorious model 0 owner let me point something out.
First of all the shape is pretty much copy and paste of the zowie fk1.
My only concern is the cable because it gets delivered with a 90° kink downwards, and a lot of reports about disconnecting issues on Reddit (even on my copy) had to replace the cable myself. If they can get ride of that issue in future units it will be one of the best gaming products of all time.
I did notice the awkward packaging but since I didn’t have any connection issues on any of the four mice I got to test I didn’t really think it was an issue. That said; this should be a matter of simply changing the way the product is packed so I hope they’ll be changing it in future iterations.
I have had a G-Pro wired for about a year now, it is paracorded and has hyperglides. My hands are 18.5cm by 10cm and I have a palm/grip hybrid and I have performed very well with the g pro but it is too small and I wanted to know if the Model O could do any better for me.
Well the shape is pretty different. I love the Model O, but it’s really nothing like the G Pro Wired in terms of overall feeling. It also might be a bit flat to palm, but that’s mostly down to personal preferences. I can’t really know what you like and dislike but I would also suggest looking at the Zowie S, or maybe even a G-Wolves Skoll or something like that.
In cs, i have middle scroll down as my jump key and sometimes when im clutching it randomly jumps. Any reasons?
If you’re not touching your scroll wheel when that happens it sounds like a defective unit, it’s probably best to contact Glorious about this.
I got really sweaty hands and would prefer to have the matte one, but it will only be able to buy the matte one in September 27. The glossy one is available right now and I don’t want to wait till the end of the next month. Should I buy the Glossy one, even with my sweaty hands, or wait till Matte be available?
By the way, I loved this review. Keep up the good work!
In summer my hands get sweaty when gaming really quickly too. I don’t really have any performance issues with glossy surfaces though, so for me the drawback is the icky feeling that a glossy surface tends to get when it’s been exposed to sweat and oils. This feeling is less with the Model O because of the fact that the holes in the shell reduce the amount of contact with the surface though. In any case: for me, the glossy version is perfectly usable, even with sweaty hands. I do prefer the matte version myself if I had to choose though, so if I were in your position I’d wait, but I’m obviously not you so hopefully I’ve informed you enough to make that decision for yourself.
Thanks for the kind words!
Hello do you prefer this model o or the razer mamba elite or razer DA elite ??
Between those I’d personally go for the Model O, but that’s just my opinion obviously.
Hello~
How about comparing it with the G603? Also what about the dust management for he mouse, assuming someone who lives in a pretty dusty environment buys it, do you think it’d be easy to keep the components clean? Assuming the honeycomb design doesn’t compromise the ease of cleaning.
The G603 isn’t really comparable as far as shape and all of that goes. I don’t see cleaning as an issue to be honest. Just grab a can of compressed air and blow the dust out. It’s obviously gonna be more vulnerable to liquid spills and all of that, but under normal usage I don’t see any problems with using a mouse like this.
i have 17.5cm x 8.5cm hands claw grip will it work?
I’d maybe suggest waiting on the Model O-.
i have 19×10 cm hands claw grip will it work?
Can someone answer me this?
in csgo lighter or heaver mouse better everyone using 80-96+
for csgo u need to do crisp small aims like, awp and etc..
That’s up to personal preference. Some people really want to use the lightest mouse possible while others don’t care too much about weight or even prefer heavier mice. As long as the mouse you’re using is not outrageously heavy it should be fine.
Sorry i’m spanish my english is bad this mouse can use with the claw grip??
Yes, it can be used for claw grip.
Hi does the click buttons move right or left when you hold it and also how is the durability on the mouse does it have any flex on the side panles?
They move a bit to the left and right. There’s some flex on the sides but I wouldn’t really worry about that to be honest. I explain it more thoroughly in my review.
bro is model o better for shooter game or zowie or logitech?
Doesn’t really matter. Zowie mice are made with shooters in mind, but all three brands produce great products.
HIi! I Wanna try out the model 0 but not sure if it will fit. I have ss rival 300 and use palm/finger grip hybrid.
My hands:19 cm.
And im not sure if the mouse would fit (cant test because it is not in the stores yet)
Would this mouse be ok with the hand and grip I have? And does dust, sweat etc, Affect the performance of the mouse because I get pretty sweaty hands sometimes.
As long as you’re not completely palming it and you don’t prefer a pretty filling hump it should be fine. If you can try a Zowie FK you can get a feeling for the shape as they are pretty similar. I personally haven’t used the mouse for a very long period of time (since I always have to test other mice) but a friend of mine uses one as his main and there are no problems with performance so far.
How do you compare it with FK1 ? Which one do you prefer overall ?
I prefer the Model O, it’s a very similar shape and it’s lighter and has a better cable. That’s my personal opinion though so beware of that.
Zowie divina vs model o? Which is better for CSGO??
Depends on your preferences. I think the S has the better shape but the Model O has the better cable and a lighter weight. These are just my opinions though.
My Model O hasn’t been delivered after a month and i’m curious if i even got the right adress when i bought it it said it’ll restock july 15th or something like that and after that it will take 8-20 days
(I live in belgium btw)
That’s a question for Glorious’ support. I cannot help you with that unfortunately.
G pro or model o can you clear out for me i got 60 dollars and my old g102 is broken, i know it comes down to personal preference but plz can you still tell me i should get g102 repaired and wait to collect money o buy g pro or buy glorious model o i just wants to know if its going o worth it
Well, for sixty dollars I’d get the Model O, if you’re talking about the Model O vs the G Pro Wireless. If you’re talking about the G Pro Wired (i.e. the G Pro Gaming Mouse) I’d say to go for the G Pro if you liked the G102.
Great review. I’m probably ordering/purchasing this mouse, it seems superb and perfect. Currently using a SteelSeries Rival 110 which is a GREAT Affordable gaming mouse, but not perfect for me (perhaps). It’ll be my backup or I’ll give it to family/sell it. Will order a matte black Model O. Would get the white one but it’s sold out. If Model O isn’t for me, I’ll try a large mouse next, just a shame they’re usually quite heavy as well. This mouse is the perfect mouse for a pro/heavy user, gamer, etc… Gotta love lightweight stuff.
Well, a lot of gamers actually like heavy mice as well. There’s pros that play with mice over 100 grams (the G903 is around 110 grams and that’s one of the most popular mice with Overwatch pros, and it’s used by some of the best DPS players in the game) so don’t get too carried away by the ‘anything over 100 grams is a brick’ thing that people have been saying in certain communities.
In the end, weight is a preference (to a certain level, obviously there’s a thing as a mouse that’s too heavy). Either way the Model O is definitely a great mouse so you’re not wrong to try it out! Hope you’ve found your mouse and thanks for the kind words about the review!
does it have a software?
Yes, it has optional software.
Would you guys recommend this, or the new Cooler Master MM710 for gaming? (Coming from a deathadder 2012; I play CS:GO)
The MM710 isn’t out yet so I can’t really compare them. From what we know the MM710 will be smaller though, so it’ll depend on shape preference and hand size if everything functions as it should.
How is this in comparison to the g402?
It’s different on almost every front; the G402 is a rather heavy ergonomic mouse while this is a very light ambidextrous mouse.
do you think that this mouse would be a good fit for someone with big hands (me). i’m currently using the deathadder elite because of its size and shape.
Depends on your hand size and grip style to be honest. Though the Deathadder is quite a big feeling mouse, so if that’s the right size for you I’d say that the Model O might be a bit on the line.
Hallo i was oder the Glorious model o. My Hand is 17.5 cm x 9,5 cm and i find the mouse is too big for me. I a claw griper. I like weight of the mouse.
I test the Zowie za13 too and i find Zowie za13 the sitze is much better for my hand
Yes the ZA13 is indeed a bit smaller. Glorious did mention that they were going to be bringing out other models (the Model O is the first in the lineup of their O.D.I.N. mice) so perhaps they’ll release a smaller model that’s better for your hand size soon!
Thanks for the great review! Do you recommend a mouse Bungie for this mouse or is it ok on its own?
I’ve used this mouse extensively both with and without a bungee and while it’s better with a bungee I’d say that the difference is very small due to the quality of the cable. This mouse is more than okay to use without a bungee. Just make sure to have a bit of ‘extra’ cable lying on the desk so that you don’t accidentally snag the cord behind a monitor stand or what have you when swiping if you’re using it without a bungee.
Will the mouse suit me if I use finger grip, hand 18 x 10cm? pls help!
Yup, should be good.
Will the mouse suit me if I use finger grip, hand 19.5 x 10.5cm?
Theoretically yes, though no one can obviously guarantee anything until you’ve held the mouse yourself.
could the super lightweight of the mouse affect the way the mousepad resistance acts on it? Because the drag and resistance different mousepads present, are tested accordingly to the weight of the mouse and feet that usually comes with it. So since this mouse is out of the box way lighter than the rest, it could impact the flicking or
tracking skills of any person, since mousepad companies designed the mousepads thinking on the average gaming mouse weight?
I tested this mouse on a variety of pads (though my main one is the Logitech G640) and I didn’t notice any difference. Every mouse glides a little differently (due to weight, size, feet, …) but I didn’t notice any major differences or oddities.
This or g304?g304 is on sale for 35$
They’re completely different mice in almost all aspects so it really depends on what you like personally. Both are very reliable gaming mice though.
Whats the size like compared to a g502?
The G502 is way larger and higher.
I’m coming from the Razer DeathAdder elite and do a palm grip with small hands. I heard that switching from a heavy mouse to a much more lighter is beneficial with aiming so would you think that the mouse would be a good upgrade overall?
It depends. Without taking anything away from the ‘lightweight battle’ I personally think that people go a bit too crazy over this whole weight thing. I mean this in the sense that some people online have begun to completely disregard any mouse that weighs a gram over 90g as a ‘brick’ and I think that that isn’t fair since there are people out there who actually prefer heavier mice. There is a top limit for sure, but still.
So in short: I don’t know if your aim will get better by getting a lighter mouse. The only way to tell is for you to buy it and try it. That said; I personally like my mice to be as light as possible and the Model O is a great mouse even if you ignore the light aspect for a minute (fantastic cable, great feet, perfect sensor, nice shape,…) so if you’re hesitating I’d definitely pull the trigger.
Is it work it having 7.5inch by 4inch hand ?
Yes, that should be good.
Mine clicks too easily when squeezing (mouse5) and lost a pubg clutch due to this by changing fire mode to single with that key. Was fine on fk1.
The mouse button1 also feels a bit wonky and low quality compared to fk1, it moves side to side and is a little mushy.
The cable is also too heavy, the paracord on fk1 was much better.
But the weight is what is keeping me using it so far and the feet.
You could always RMA it if it’s really bothering you with the side clicks.
Hi my glorious model o come today i was test it in cs great mouse it very light i like it
Yes it’s indeed very light! Glad you’re liking it!
When will I be able to buy the model O from a store? not online.
Model Os should be coming to all microcenter locations soon
Here’s my source:https://www.reddit.com/r/MouseReview/comments/bonkc7/glorious_model_o_megathread_information/enn98xu/
Nice! That’s great news, thanks for sharing.
I don’t have any information on that. It’s probably best to ask Glorious support directly.
What do you think of 20x11cm hands palm/claw hybrid grip for this?
If you don’t want a fully filled palm it should be okay, but it’s a pretty low profile mouse so if you’re after a ‘full feeling’ I’d say that you should be careful. That said; grip etc is personal and it has a pretty safe shape so it could definitely work, depending on what you favor with your grip.
Does the mouse have scroll left and right buttons?
No but you can reprogram the side buttons (for example) in Glorious’ software to do that if you wanted to.
Zowie FK1 is bit flat for me, is this mouse higher than FK1?
No they are the same height (give or take a millimeter or two at most).
My hands are roughly 21×11 cm, how will this fit for claw/palm hybrid?
Depends on your particular style to be honest. For pure palm I’d say you’re pushing it, but if you don’t mind not having a completely filled palm then it should still be good. It’s hard to give definitive recommendations for things like this because A) I don’t know your precise grip style and B) I don’t know all of your preferences, so us mouse reviewers can only try to steer people in the right direction.
Hey is this mouse good for moba’s like lol ? because you have to do a lot of clicking , and my ecb2 clicks were on the heavy side and my fingers would get tired.
The clicks are lighter than what they are on the EC series. Glorious uses Omrons which are known to be a lighter than the Huanos that Zowie uses. Neither is better than the other but if you prefer lighter clicks the Model O would be better for you on that front.
This mouse is actually seriously amazing no cap. Coming from the death adder elite, it’s such a huge upgrade! Imagine taking off ankle weights lol that’s how it feels. The skates, the weight, the grip, the cord, the sensor, the clicks, the RGB really all just exceptional well done. And for the price actually can’t beat it. Beyond impressed with Glorious especially this being their first mouse release. I’m actually hype for what they have in store for the future now. And the customer support is actually really spot on. I received my model O two day shipping with no issues so far, but I know Glorious is quick to respond and they are active in the mouse enthusiasts community (r/mousereview) and it shows. They listened to what the community wanted in a mouse, and I would have to say they definitely delivered!
Yes indeed! It’s nice to see that this mouse has lived up to the rather insane hype levels it has been generating.
Any model O’s coming to sell here in South America? I was wondering the best website that we could try to get it from. (Brazil)
I am not sure about that, I just review the mice and have no affiliation with Glorious. It’s probably best to ask their support directly.
Hello, how would you compare it to the Logitech G Pro Wireless ?
I hesitate to sell it to buy a Glorious Model O.
The Model O is a little longer and lower than the G Pro Wireless and it’s obviously way lighter. I own both and to me they’re two of the best gaming mice out there right now. There’s very little wrong with either mouse so I suppose it’ll come down to personal preferences. For what it’s worth I’m still using the Model O right now.
Do you personally think that this mouse will be as widely used across multiple esports like the g pro wireless, which is used in overwatch,cs go, fortnite, pubg and r6??
I believe that it’s got exactly what many gamers (including professionals) are looking for so I would not be surprised at all to see this mouse pop up on the desks of professional gamers.
Where can I buy this mouse??? I’m from HK and the website does not allow shippings there.
That’s something you’re better off asking Glorious’ support staff I think.
You would have to pay more, but you could find a middleman service online to buy it and then ship it to you.
That is an option, but we always recommend going through official channels or retailers for obvious reasons.
Use ZipX its a website to order US, European stuff etc. to HK. Just ordered model o minus Im in HK aswell haha
Thank you for sharing this information!
Its worth for 18,5 x 9 hand? I use claw grip
Yes, definitely worth it!
How big is this mice in comparison with the Rival 110 or the Sensei 310 please ? any pictures side by side ? =]
The 310 is about the same size, though it is a bit higher. The 110 is smaller and about the same height. Sadly I cannot give you any pictures as I don’t have either mouse lying around, I apologize.
Would you recommend this to someone with a 18 cm by 9 cm? I can get use to any grip
If you like the features and all of that then yes.
only thing i would watch out for i noticed with mine i just got is be careful it has the side buttons but they dont count at mouse 4 and 5 they have to be setup and i have them set as my scroll wheel cause they dont have ever own inviditual button
Thank you for sharing your experience with the Glorious Model O.
